My clinical dietetics experience includes working with people in all stages of life – infancy, childhood, adolescence, pregnancy, adulthood and senior years – in hospitals, rehabs (physical therapy, mental health and substance abuse), skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics and more.
I completed my dietetic internship through the Yale School of Medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital after obtaining my Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Kentucky. I began my career in Connecticut working for what was then a division of Marriott, now owned and known as Sodexo, one of the largest contract management companies in the world. I then worked for the company for a year out of Dallas but was then promoted to position in New York City where I then spent a decade working in dietetics, including working in some of the most prestigious medical facilites, including Mount Sinai Beth Israel.
An interesting and unusual position working for the California Department of State Hospitals brought me to the CA Central Valley. I have now been in the Central Valley for over a decade and call it home.
In my private practice, I’m dedicated to giving you the best experience. Discussing your medical issues and your relationship with food can be anxiety producing and emotional. You are treated with respect, dignity and compassion from a non-judgemental perspective so that you feel safe when discussing these things. When working together we focus on healthy behaviors, explore obstacles to performing healthy behaviors, and I equip you with knowledge and tools that you can use to be successful in your efforts to meet your health and wellness goals.
